A progressive death metal band known for brooding, ambient textures and complex rhythms since 2007.
For a good sense of their sound, try 'The Night Reveals' or 'Departure', they show that balance of heavy rhythms and ethereal passages pretty clearly.
Fallujah's music pulls from progressive death metal and black metal while leaving room for ambient textures, creating a moody, detailed sound that doesn't rush its atmospheres. Songs like 'The Night Reveals' show how they balance heavy, complex rhythms with melodic, almost ethereal passages. Their lyrics circle themes of desolation and vulnerability, giving everything a brooding, introspective quality.
They formed in 2007 with Scott Carstairs on vocals and guitar, Rob Morey on guitar, and Andrew Baird on bass. Their first album, The Harvest Wombs, came out in 2011, followed by The Flesh Prevails in 2014 and Dreamless in 2016. These days, the lineup includes Kyle Schaefer on vocals, and they haven't released a full-length since Dreamless.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
