Danish singer-songwriter Maria Gammelgaard makes atmospheric music under the name Fallulah.
If you want to hear Fallulah's sound, try 'Scared Of Love' first. 'New York You're My Concrete Lover' gives you a good sense of her atmospheric quality too.
Her songs like 'Scared Of Love' and 'Broken Soldier' have that melancholic, folky feel with electronic touches that people remember. She gets mentioned alongside Björk or Joanna Newsom sometimes because of the atmospheric quality in her music and her distinctive voice. Tracks like 'New York You're My Concrete Lover' and 'Bridges' show what she does well.
She put out her first EP 'Nanna' in 2006, then her debut album 'The Black Cat Neighbourhood' the next year. Two more albums followed, 'Lampedusa' in 2009 and 'Perfect Tense' in 2015. She hasn't released a full album since 2015, but songs like 'Car Window' and 'Paper Route (Hurts To Be Loud)' are still what people know her for.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
