Falsa Alarma formed in Monterrey, Mexico in 1989 with Rubén Albarrán on vocals, Armando Vega-Gil on drums, Alejandro Marcovich on guitar, and Javier de la Cueva on bass. Their debut album 'El Mundo Se Equivocó' came out a few years later, mixing rock and pop with some traditional Mexican rhythms.
They put out several more records including 'De Tripas, Corazon,' 'Falsa Alarma,' and 'El Fin del Mundo.' Songs like 'Mi Amada' and 'Bondad Malicia' became staples for them.
Albarrán's vocals and stage presence were always central to their sound, with Marcovich's guitar work and Vega-Gil's drumming providing the musical foundation. They kept recording and playing through the 90s and beyond.
