Família Donizete

Família Donizete formed in the early 1980s when siblings Donizete, Mariazinha, and Marlene started performing together at local churches and community events in Brazil. They were a family group from the beginning, singing Christian music with the kind of harmonies that come naturally when people grow up together.

In 1997, they released "Sobe No Barco Jesus," a song that connected with listeners across Brazil and became their most recognizable work. Other songs like "Prova de amor" and "Sou Crente e Assumo" followed, building a catalog of straightforward gospel music that didn't complicate its message.

As their audience grew, some listeners questioned whether their approach was too simple or whether commercial success had changed their intentions. The family kept singing through it, maintaining the same basic format they'd started with years earlier.
