Archive material and source history
Farmacia de Guardia formed in Madrid in the early 1990s with Ricardo Arregui on vocals and guitar, Iñigo Zabala on bass, José Manuel Díez on drums, and Eugenio Recuenco on guitar. They put out their first album in 1992 and kept releasing records through the decade, including 'Subterfuge' in 1994 and 'El último día' in 1998.
Their song 'Ella es demoledora' stirred some debate at the time for its lyrics. The band had a rock sound that pulled from funk and Latin rhythms, which gave them a different feel from other Madrid groups playing in those years.
They recorded a live album in Madrid in 2001 and later put out a compilation called '20 años' in 2012. Another track people remember is 'Soy Un Cadaver.'
