Farofa HC

Farofa HC formed in Brazil during the late 1990s, playing hardcore with lyrics that often dealt with political themes. Their song 'Anormal' became particularly well-known, serving as something of an anthem for listeners who felt outside the mainstream. The band released albums like 'Não Estamos Sós' in 2001 and 'Anormal' in 2005.

Rodrigo Goiaba has been the consistent vocalist and lyricist since the beginning, with the original lineup including Bruno Madureira on guitar, Rafael 'Lica' Brito on bass, and Eduardo 'X' Gonçalves on drums. Their music, including tracks like 'Eu Amo Minha Mão' and 'Falsas Alianças', maintained a raw, aggressive sound while addressing social issues. The group faced some resistance from conservative circles and certain radio stations over their confrontational stance.

They put out several more records through the 2000s, including 'Estado de Sítio' in 2003 and 'A Revolta dos Bizarros' in 2007. Their work connected with audiences who identified with its themes of marginalization and defiance.
