Fashion Girls

Fashion Girls formed in São Paulo as a quartet of young women who wanted to make music that spoke to people who felt overlooked. The group included Jeanne Lima, Kat Macedo, Paula Pessoa, and Yumi Kida. In 2003, they released 'Criançada Loka,' a song that caught on with listeners who connected with its direct energy.

Their debut album was called 'Sem Filtro,' which reflected the straightforward approach of their early material. Later records like 'Além do Lixo' and 'Fé na Luta' continued in a similar vein, with lyrics that often addressed everyday frustrations and personal determination. Another track, 'Rainbow Of Close,' appears in their catalog.

Jeanne Lima handled lead vocals and wrote much of the material, while Kat Macedo played guitar. Their music didn't shy away from topics that sometimes drew criticism, but they generally kept making the kind of songs they wanted to make.
