Fat Lady Sings

Fat Lady Sings formed in the late 1990s after the experimental rock band The Sirens dissolved. The group included vocalist Anya Petrova, guitarist Ethan Smith, bassist Silas Walker, and drummer Malik Ahmed. Their debut album 'Alien' came out in 2001, with the title track becoming a notable song in their catalog.

Their music combined alternative rock with industrial and electronic elements, with Petrova's vocals often described as ethereal against rougher guitar work. They released two more albums, 'The Gospel According to Fat Lady' in 2005 and 'The Omega Point' in 2012. Other songs like 'Boil' and 'Drunkard Logic' show their range across those records.

Petrova's personal struggles with substance abuse and mental health sometimes drew attention away from the music itself. The band's lyrics and performances could be confrontational, which divided some listeners and critics. They never quite fit neatly into any one scene or category.
