Fato Consumado

Fato Consumado formed in São Paulo in 1999. Their early sound was challenging enough that it alienated some listeners, but they kept at it with live performances. In 2002, their album 'Ode ao Ódio' came out, and the single 'Invejoso' became their breakthrough track.

That song's lyrics about envy and hypocrisy connected with people and pushed the band into a more mainstream space. As they got more attention, their lyrics sometimes drew criticism from conservative and religious groups. They kept writing about social and political issues anyway.

They put out several albums after that, including 'Soldado do Céu' in 2004, 'O Caminho' in 2006, and 'O Mundo É um Moinho' in 2010. Their music pulled from heavy metal but also had pieces of hip-hop, reggae, and Brazilian folk in it. Other songs people know include 'Melhor Pra Você' and 'Perdoa Amor'.
