Fator 3 formed in 2007 when Bruno Boncini and Murilo Lima met at a music school in São Paulo. Tiago de Araújo joined them soon after, and the trio released their debut album 'Ao Seu Ladinho' in 2009. The title track became a hit in Brazil, a ballad about being in love that connected with listeners.
Their music includes songs like 'Perfil,' 'Castelo De Vento,' and 'De Novo O Sol.' In 2011, Lima was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, and the band continued performing together. They released several more albums including 'Sinais' in 2012 and 'A Vida Que a Gente Leva' in 2016.
In 2016, they faced plagiarism accusations regarding their song 'Samba do Sol,' though they maintained their innocence. They kept touring and recording, putting out an acoustic album in 2019.
