That song, along with others like 'A Rosa' and 'De frente pro mar,' established their sound, which mixed rock and pop with Brazilian folk elements.

They followed that first album with several others through the 1980s, including 'Fábrica de Emoções' in 1985 and 'O Lobo' in 1986. The band faced some accusations of plagiarism and political censorship during their early years, but they kept recording and playing. By 1993 they had released an acoustic album.

Their music stayed in rotation on Brazilian radio long after their peak. Songs like 'Alma do homem' and 'Amor e ódio' still get played, and their early albums remain touchstones for certain listeners who came of age in that period.
