Fausto (espanhol)

Fausto began making music in Portugal during the early 1970s, a period of political tension in the country. His first album, 'Por Este Rio Acima,' came out in 1972. He often played with just a nylon-string guitar, and his sound mixed folk and rock with other elements. Later records like 'Crónicas da Terra Ardente' (1979) and 'Fausto V' (1982) continued that approach.

His songs could be introspective and sometimes carried a melancholic tone. The track 'Susana' is one of his better-known pieces. Other songs like 'O Que Faz Falta' and 'Pedra Filosofal' also became part of his catalog.

A few of his songs were reportedly kept off the radio. His band lineup changed at different points, but he kept recording over the decades, putting out albums like 'Nocturno' in 2005.
