Faustrecht

Faustrecht formed in Berlin in 1994, with Arnd Brummer on vocals, Jan-Peter Nietzsche on guitar, Torsten Bagemann on bass, and Frank Breinlinger on drums. They came up through the city's underground scene, playing shows and building a following without much initial support.

Their song "Blut, Schweiß und Tränen" became something of an anthem for them, a straightforward heavy metal track about struggle and endurance. Other songs like "Die Macht des Kapitals" and "Der Aufstand" followed similar themes, delivered with a raw, aggressive sound that didn't try to smooth over its edges.

In 2004, their album "Blut und Eisen" drew criticism for its cover art and some lyrical content, with accusations that it flirted with extreme political imagery. The band denied promoting any ideology, saying they were just reflecting darker aspects of reality as they saw it.
