Fazenda da Esperança

Fazenda da Esperança began as a rural community in Brazil's mountains in 1991, founded by physician Nelson Giovanelli Rosendo as a sanctuary for people recovering from addiction. The band formed five years later in 1996, with members who were former residents of that community. Their music grew directly from that experience of recovery.

Their songs like 'Um Nada Por Amor' and 'Droga É Ilusão' carry the weight of personal stories about addiction and faith. The lyrics aren't abstract, they're grounded in the reality of what people in their community lived through. The music became part of how they shared that experience with others.

They've released albums steadily since the late 1990s, including 'Fazenda da Esperança I' in 1996, 'Milagre' in 2000, and an acoustic album in 2010. The work has always been tied to the community's purpose, with titles like 'Caminho de Esperança' and 'Coisa de Deus' reflecting that connection.
