Fear Before's heavy, melodic post-hardcore

A London band that mixed grunge, metal, and introspective writing across the 2010s.

For a good sense of their sound, try 'Absolute Future' or 'Taking Cassandra To The End Of The World Party'. Both have that heavy yet melodic thing they do.

They never quite fit into one genre box, pulling from grunge and post-hardcore but keeping things melodic. Songs like 'Absolute Future' show that mix of heavy instrumentation and more thoughtful lyrics. Their later track 'Taking Cassandra To The End Of The World Party' has that same blend.

They started with the 2012 EP 'The Absence', then put out 'Given to Dreams' a couple years later. By 2018, they'd released the full-length album 'Origins' and kept dropping EPs like 'Dream is Over'.
