A late-80s Brazilian group that put out records like 'The Cross and the Sword' and 'Blind Faith'.
For a quick sense of their sound, 'És Tu' and 'Não Desisto' frame what they were doing. Both have that late-80s Brazilian rock feel with Russo's vocals up front.
Feedback 33 came out of Belo Horizonte in the late 1980s with vocalist Renato Russo, who gave their music a distinct voice. Their song 'És Tu' shows the kind of direct, personal writing they were doing alongside tracks like 'Não Desisto'. They had a song called 'Eu Nunca Vi' that got attention in 1988, touching on social commentary without losing their melodic sense.
Their debut album was 'The Cross and the Sword' in 1986, with Dado Villa-Lobos on guitar. They followed with 'Blind Faith' in 1988 and 'Eleven' in 1989 before Renato Russo died in 1996.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
