Feedback Band formed in London in 1967, with James Carter on vocals, Mark Thompson on bass, Barry Jones on drums, and Robert Hayes on guitar. Their sound mixed psychedelic rock with something rougher that would later be called proto-punk. The single 'When It Comes' came out in 1968 and got them noticed internationally.
Their live shows and outspoken stance drew criticism from conservative commentators at the time. The band kept recording through the late 1960s and into the 1970s, putting out several albums that were well-received by critics.
