Feeling B.A.

Feeling B.A. formed in Rio de Janeiro in 1985 around singer and songwriter Fábio Henrique, with Luiz Claudio on keyboards, Paulinho on bass, and Milton Bicudo on drums. Their self-titled debut album came out in 1987, but it was their second record that really defined them. The 1990 album 'Algo Disco' gave them their biggest hit with the title track, a song that became a dance floor staple in Brazil.

That song 'Algo Disco' and others like 'Cena de Dos' and 'Noches Magicas' from their catalog mixed samba, pop, and funk into something straightforward and rhythmic. They put out two more albums, 'Festa Fever' in 1992 and 'Fora da Lei' in 1994, before their active period wound down. Their music was less about complex arrangements and more about a direct, party-ready groove.

You still hear 'Algo Disco' at parties sometimes, a reminder of that specific early-90s moment in Brazilian pop. The band's story is mostly about that one big song and the few albums that surrounded it, a compact chapter in Rio's dance music history.
