Feindflug

Feindflug formed in Potsdam in the early 2000s around vocalist Michael Regener, who goes by Lunikoff. Their sound is raw and aggressive, fitting into the extreme metal scene, with songs like 'Gulag' and 'AK-47' addressing dark historical themes. The band's lyrics often deal with war, fascism, and the Holocaust, drawing from specific historical references rather than abstract concepts.

Their debut album 'Sturmangriff' came out in 2003, followed by 'Das ewige Feuer' in 2005 and 'Sturmtrupp' in 2007. Alongside Lunikoff, guitarist Marc Schulze and drummer Hannes Schmidt have been consistent members, with others like bassist Patrick List contributing at times. Tracks such as 'Roter Schnee' and 'Ätherkrieg' continue their pattern of direct, confrontational songwriting.

Feindflug's explicit content has sparked criticism, with some accusing them of exploiting suffering for shock value, particularly regarding 'Gulag'. They've maintained a following among listeners who connect with their anti-war and anti-fascist stance, but their work remains polarizing rather than broadly celebrated.
