Feliciano Ramírez (Chano)

Feliciano Ramírez, known as Chano, was a Mexican singer-songwriter who started as a street performer. In 1963, he released his debut album 'Cuando Chano Estaba Grabando,' which included the title track that became one of his most recognized songs.

He recorded several albums over the following years, including 'El Trovador del Pueblo' in 1965 and 'Los Corridos de la Revolución' in 1970. His lyrics sometimes addressed social and political themes, which occasionally drew attention from authorities during periods of political tension in Mexico.

Chano typically performed as a solo artist with various accompanying musicians. His recordings show a folk style rooted in Mexican traditions, with songs that maintained a straightforward, narrative quality rather than elaborate production.
