His song 'Algum Dia Te Direi' became particularly well-known. Through the 1970s and 1980s, he released several albums including 'Me Chateia' in 1975, 'Meu Reino Encantado' in 1976, and 'Romance Proibido' in 1982. In the late 1980s, he faced legal issues related to unpaid taxes.
