Felix Chavez came up singing in local cantinas and festivals around Jalisco, Mexico, drawing from mariachi and bolero traditions. In 2005, he worked with producer Armando Manzanero on his debut album 'Amantes y Amigos,' which included the song 'Arrebol.' That track became his most recognizable work, a ballad built around his straightforward vocal delivery.
He followed up with 'El Regreso' in 2011, another album of romantic ballads. Later releases included 'Por Siempre' in 2013 and 'El Amor de Mi Vida' in 2015. Another song, 'Guardian de Mi Vida,' also appears among his recorded material.
In 2009, Chavez faced plagiarism allegations over his song 'No Puedo Olvidarla,' which led to a legal dispute. He continued releasing music afterward, putting out 'No Me Olvides' in 2017.
