Fernanda e Amanda are a Brazilian sertanejo duo formed by Fernanda de Lima and Amanda Magalhães. They met in 2009 at a local singing contest and started working together soon after. Their first album, 'As Patroas,' came out in 2011 and included the hit 'Ciúme Bobo,' which got a lot of radio play in Brazil.
They've put out several albums since then, like 'Três Amores' in 2013 and 'Dois Lados' in 2015. Their songs, including 'Me da um tempo' and 'Pensando Em Você,' often deal with relationships and everyday feelings, set to the kind of sertanejo rhythms that are popular across Brazil.
In 2016, Fernanda was treated for breast cancer. The duo kept recording and performing, with a live album from Goiânia in 2018. They've worked as a pair in a genre where most of the big names are men, which has meant navigating that space on their own terms.
