Archive material and source history
Fetuttines formed in Rio de Janeiro in the early 2000s, a trio made up of two brothers named Macalé and Wado along with their friend Bubu. They started playing local bars and open mics before their song "Ele e Ela" caught on in 2005. That ballad about unrequited love became their signature track.
They put out their first album in 2006, simply called "Fetuttines," and followed it with a record named after that hit song in 2008. The band kept recording through the next decade, with albums like "Na Contramão" in 2012 and "Nosso Sonho" after that.
In 2010, a former member accused them of plagiarism, though the claims were eventually dismissed. The band issued a statement at the time defending their work.
