Fevi

Fevi formed as a trio in São Paulo in the late 1990s, with Felipe Haiut on vocals and guitar, Fabio Leão on bass, and Fabio Barroso on drums. Their debut album 'Não Me Faz Feliz' came out in 2001, and its title track became a hit. That song, along with others like '23' and 'A Primeira Vez', helped establish them in Brazilian alternative rock.

They kept releasing albums through the 2000s and 2010s, including 'Pistas Para Descobrir o Céu' in 2003 and 'Cidade Chama' in 2016. Their sound has touched on post-punk and indie rock at different points, but they've mostly stayed the same three-piece lineup. Haiut's voice and writing have been a constant through it all.

At times they've worked with other Brazilian artists like Marisa Monte and Arnaldo Antunes. Songs like 'Homens' and 'Navegar' show the kind of straightforward, guitar-based writing that's been their ground. They're one of those bands that found a sound early and kept working within it.
