Fex Bandollero was a Brazilian group formed by Fernando "Fex" Anitelli on vocals and guitar, Xandre "Bando" Ferreira on bass, and Edgar "Dollero" Pereira on drums. They put out their first album, "Ventos," in 1993. Their music often mixed folk, rock, and reggae, and they were known for lyrics that talked about social issues.
One of their notable songs is "Ventos / Valores Sem Preço (Medley)," which became something of an anthem for them. They followed that album with others like "Valores Sem Preço" in 1996, "O Mundo Sem Você" in 1999, and "O Canto dos Marginalizados" in 2002. Another track, "Amor, Honra e Sangue," featured Pregador Luo.
Their performance at the 1995 Rock in Rio festival drew attention when they played "Ventos." Some critics argued about the content, saying it might incite violence, which sparked a debate about censorship at the time. The band kept making music that aimed to provoke thought about topics like poverty and inequality.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
