FFF

FFF formed in 1977 with François Hadji-Lazaro on vocals, Marc Feugère on keyboards, and Patrick Vidal on drums. Their name was a tongue-in-cheek reference to the French soccer federation, which set the tone for their approach. They worked in Paris during the post-punk years, mixing punk energy with French folk elements and avant-garde touches.

Their lyrics leaned toward satire and the scatological, often taking aim at consumer culture and social norms. The song 'Le yaourt' became something of an anthem for that attitude, a sharp critique wrapped in their chaotic sound. Early performances sometimes met with censorship or venue bans, but they kept at it.

Their debut album 'Fleurs de l'Anarchie' arrived in 1979, capturing that raw, energetic blend. They kept releasing records through the years, each with its own twist on their rebellious mix of styles.
