Fickle Friends formed in Brighton in 2013, with Natassja Shiner on vocals, Jack Wilson on guitar, Harry Herrington on bass, and Sam Morris on drums. They put out early singles like "Glue" and "Swim" before releasing their debut album "You Are Someone Else" in 2018. That album's lead single "Pretty Great" became a breakout hit for the band, landing on playlists and getting radio play with its bright, catchy indie-pop sound.
In 2019, the group faced allegations of sexual misconduct, which led to some canceled shows and a period of public uncertainty. They responded by pledging support for victims and saying they would work to make their shows safer. After that, they kept recording and putting out music, including songs like "Say No More" and "Hello Hello," which continued in their vein of melodic, guitar-driven pop.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
