Fiction formed in 1988 with Matt Verta-Ray on vocals, Joe Sumner on guitar, and Andy Goddard on bass. Their debut album 'Walk into Darkness' came out in 1990 and included songs like 'The Maze' and 'The House of Love.'
Sumner and Goddard left the band in 1996, but Verta-Ray kept Fiction going with new members. They put out several albums in the early '90s, including 'The National Front' in 1991, 'Dog Days' in 1993, and 'Beyond the Pale' in 1995.
One of their best-known tracks is 'Because I Am a Treacherous Soul,' which appears on their catalog alongside songs like 'Aprisionado,' 'Fiction B2est,' 'Guerras,' and 'Lucifer To Iu Na No Oningyou.'
