Fiction Family formed in the late 1990s in Seattle. The band included Matthew Santos on vocals, Krist Novoselic from Nirvana on bass, and Curt Kirkwood of Meat Puppets on guitar. They released their self-titled debut album in 2003, which contained songs like "Closer than you think" and "Give Me Back My Girl."
Novoselic left the band in 2005. Fiction Family put out two more albums, "Transmute" in 2007 and "Wide Open Spaces" in 2012, before disbanding in 2014. Their catalog includes tracks such as "Friday I'm In Love," "Notch On The Tally," and "Reality Calls."
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
