Fidelis Marques is a Brazilian band formed by three musicians: Fidelis Marques on vocals and guitar, Marquinhos Lessa on guitar, and Nonato on bass. They work with samba, funk, and Brazilian rhythms. Their song "Débora Tá Lá" became widely popular.
In 2002, their self-titled album included a track called "Fogo no Rabo" that drew some criticism for its lyrics about social issues. The band kept making music through the 2000s and 2010s, putting out albums like "Tá Lá" in 2005 and "O Som da Resistência" in 2017. Another song people know is "É Arte".
They've mostly stayed as that original trio, though other musicians have played with them at times. Their sound has that Brazilian rhythmic foundation, but they've never been afraid to let their songs carry a bit of an edge when they want to.
