Field Medic

Field Medic is the project of singer-songwriter Kevin Patrick Sullivan, who started writing songs as a teenager in New Jersey. He self-released his debut EP 'Songs for a Sloe Gin Night' in 2014. His music often deals with anxiety and mental health in plain, direct language, like in the song 'song i made up to stop myself from having a panic attack.'

Sullivan's writing has drawn comparisons to Elliott Smith and Nick Drake for its confessional quality. Tracks such as 'Headcase' and 'Me, My Gibberish, & The Moon' continue in that vein, with spare arrangements that keep the focus on the lyrics. He's maintained a steady output of recordings that feel more like diary entries than polished studio productions.

While some early attention focused on the raw content of his songs, Sullivan has kept writing in his own voice. The music stays close to home, built around acoustic guitar and vocals that don't try to smooth over the rough edges.
