Fight formed in Boston in the late 1980s around Rob Halford, who had just left Judas Priest. They put out their first album in 1993, followed by 'War of Words' in 1995 and 'A Small Deadly Space' in 1998. The band included guitarists Mark Chaussee and Brian Tilse, along with bassist Tony Dolan.
Their song 'Little Crazy' came out in 1995 and got some attention. Other tracks like 'Immortal Sin,' 'Nailed to the Gun,' and 'Into The Pit' filled out their setlists. Halford's lyrics sometimes touched on themes that raised eyebrows in metal circles at the time.
Fight's records leaned into heavy riffs and anthemic choruses, a sound Halford was exploring after his Priest years. They didn't stick around too long, but for a stretch in the mid-90s they were Halford's main vehicle outside of his former band.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
