Filho dos Livres formed in São Paulo in 2007 as a five-piece Brazilian folk-rock band. Their lineup includes Daniel Groove on vocals, Coutinho on acoustic guitar, Kadu on electric guitar, Juca on bass, and Kaká on drums. They released their debut album 'Mochileira' in 2013, with the title track becoming their breakout song.
The band's music draws from Brazilian folk traditions, with influences from artists like Chico Buarque and Caetano Veloso. They followed 'Mochileira' with albums like 'O Tempo' in 2015 and 'Raio-X' in 2019. Other songs in their catalog include 'Meu Carnaval,' 'Atol,' 'Meiga Senhorita,' and 'Não Dá Pra Te Esquecer.'
They've performed at festivals across Brazil and shared stages with artists including Ivete Sangalo and Gilberto Gil.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
