Firefall: A Journey of Triumph and Controversy

Firefall, an iconic American soft rock band, emerged from Boulder, Colorado in the early 1970s.

Early Success and Breakthrough

The band's initial lineup consisted of Rick Roberts (lead vocals, guitar), Larry Burnett (lead guitar, vocals), Jock Bartley (keyboards, vocals), Mark Andes (bass guitar), and George Hawkins (drums). Their debut album, "Firefall," released in 1976, quickly propelled them to stardom.

Challenges and Controversies

Despite their early success, Firefall faced numerous challenges and controversies throughout their career. In 1979, Hawkins left the band and was replaced by Michael Clarke. The following year, Andes departed and was replaced by David Muse. These lineup changes created a sense of instability within the group.

Additionally, the band encountered legal issues related to a dispute with their management. The ensuing lawsuits and financial struggles took a toll on their morale and productivity.
