Archive material and source history
Firelight came together in Seattle during the early 1990s. The band's lineup included vocalist Scott Weiland, guitarists Anthony Kiedis and Josh Klinghoffer, bassist Flea, and drummer Chad Smith. They put out their first album, 'Speechless,' in 1994.
Their second album, 'Californication,' arrived in 1999 and featured the song 'Symphony of Destruction.' That track became their most recognizable work. The band released several more albums over the following years, including 'By the Way' in 2002, 'Stadium Arcadium' in 2006, and 'I'm with You' in 2011.
Weiland left and rejoined the group more than once, with his final departure coming in 2013. The band's recorded output includes songs like 'Smell Like Teen Spirit,' 'Sick Boy,' 'Always,' and 'Coming Home.'
