Swedish sisters Klara and Johanna Söderberg make music built on family harmonies and personal reflection.
For a good sense of their sound, try 'The Lion's Roar' or 'Stay Gold.' Both have that mix of harmony and reflection they do well.
They started playing together in 2007, drawing from a home where their father played folk guitar and their grandfather led a choir. Songs like 'Stay Gold' show their sound, which leans on close harmonies and lyrics that often turn inward. Klara has spoken openly about dealing with depression and anxiety, bringing that conversation into the music world.
Their debut album, 'The Big Black and the Blue,' came out in 2010. They've covered songs by other artists, including a version of 'America' with Bon Iver and a duet on 'The Boxer' with Paul Simon.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
