Fit For A King started in Tyler, Texas around 2007. They put out their first EP, 'Descendants,' a couple years later. The band's lineup has included Ryan Kirby on vocals, Bobby Lynge and Daniel Gailey on guitar, Tucka Hiland on bass, and Trey Celaya on drums.
They've released albums like 'Creation/Destruction,' 'Slave to Nothing,' 'Deathgrip,' 'Dark Skies,' 'The Path,' and 'The Hell We Create.' The title track from that 2022 record, 'The Hell We Create,' deals with themes of mental health and personal struggle. Other songs in their catalog include 'Falling Through The Sky' and 'God Of Fire,' which features Ryo Kinoshita.
In 2018, Kirby left the band and Lynge took over lead vocals. Their music generally falls into the metalcore category, with lyrics that often touch on addiction and redemption.
