Five Knives started in Los Angeles in 2012 with Kat Leon on vocals, Noah Hill on guitar, Ben Thomas on bass, and Jake Sullivan on drums. Their first EP came out the next year with the song 'Criminal,' which got some attention for its moody feel and Leon's lyrics. They put out a debut album called 'Youth Is Wasted on the Young' in 2014.
In 2017 they released 'The Weight of Your Love,' and three years later came 'The Only Way Out Is Through.' Their songs like 'Dirty Souls' and 'Sugar' kept that post-punk and indie rock mix going.
