Five Star was a British pop group formed in 1983 by the Pearson siblings Denise, Doris, Stedman, Lorraine, and Delroy. They signed with RCA Records and released their debut album 'Luxury of Life' in 1984, which included the singles 'All Fall Down' and 'Can't Wait Another Minute.' Their father Cleveland Pearson had encouraged their musical interests from an early age.
Their 1986 album 'Silk and Steel' featured the song 'Rain Or Shine,' which became one of their better-known tracks. Other songs from their catalog include 'Find The Time,' 'Love Take Over,' and 'Any One With Eyes.' They were active through the late 1980s and into the 1990s, releasing several albums during that period.
Denise Pearson served as the group's lead vocalist, with Doris Pearson contributing as a co-lead vocalist. Stedman Pearson was also a member of the sibling lineup. The group's music incorporated elements of pop with soul and funk influences.
