Fixar formed in Salvador in the early 2000s with members Caio Otoni, Fábio Alexandre, Rodrigo Iglesias, and Ricardo Costa. They started playing pop-rock while trying to get shows in a crowded scene.
Their 2003 debut album 'Entre o Céu e o Inferno' included the song 'Acredite,' which became widely known in Brazil. Other tracks like 'Ainda quero estar aqui' and 'Enquanto Eu Respirar' appeared on later albums such as 'Um Novo Tempo' and 'Pra Frente.'
Fábio Alexandre left in 2008, and guitarist Igor Melo joined. The band kept recording and playing, sometimes drawing attention for political comments in their music. They worked with artists including Ivete Sangalo and Pitty on various projects.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
