Fjord formed in Bergen with Ole Øverland on vocals, Eirik Skjølberg on guitar, and Vegard Bjerkan on drums. They worked on songs that leaned into introspection, eventually releasing a debut album called The Silent Aquarium.
Their music includes tracks like I Get It Now, Blue, and Irrational. Some listeners found their approach to emotional themes too heavy, but they kept writing in that vein anyway.
Later albums included The Art of Falling and The River Between. The band's catalog stays focused on that same moody, reflective quality they established early on.
