Flaps formed in Porto Alegre in 2009, starting with vocalist and guitarist André Jung, drummer Leandro Ferreira, and bassist Marcelo Negrão. Their first album, 'Aurora,' came out in 2013. The band's sound has some straightforward rock energy with melodies that stick around.
In 2015, they released 'Depois do Fim,' which became their most recognizable song. It's a ballad that caught on with listeners. Other tracks like 'Melhor Tentar' and 'Seu Olhar' show a similar approach to writing.
Ferreira left the band in 2017 and was replaced by Guilherme Held. They've put out a few more albums since then, including 'Novo Amanhecer' in 2017 and 'Horizonte' in 2019. The lineup now is Jung, Negrão, and Held.
