Flavinho Queiroga was born in 1966 in Recife, Pernambuco. He formed the band É Brinquedo, É Brincadeira, a Ilha Vai Levantar Poeira in 1995, and their debut album came out the following year. The title track "É Brinquedo, É Brincadeira, a Ilha Vai Levantar Poeira" became something of a local anthem in Pernambuco.
In 2003, he drew criticism for a song called "O Presidente Só Pensa em Fuder" that satirized Brazil's president at the time. He kept making music with his band after that, releasing several more albums.
