Fleshripper was a German goregrind band that put out their first album, "Cleanly Separated Body Parts," in 1993. The record's title track and songs like "Dead Before Death" and "Hanged on a Meathook" gave a pretty clear idea of their lyrical territory. Their sound was built on distorted guitars and guttural vocals, which wasn't exactly subtle.
That debut and the material that followed drew criticism for being too extreme, with some saying it promoted violence. They kept releasing albums through the 1990s, including "Fleshripper" in 1994 and "Pathological" in 1996. The core lineup featured Ralf Rotting on vocals, Matze on guitar, Sebastian on bass, and Rainer on drums.
They put out a compilation called "Ten Years of Butchering" in 2003.
