Floetry formed in Philadelphia in 1997 when Marsha Ambrosius and Natalie Stewart met at a talent show. They released their debut album 'Floetic' in 2000, which blended soul, jazz, and hip-hop. Songs like 'Say Yes' and 'Ms. Stress' showed their vocal interplay and poetic approach to lyrics.
Their second album 'Floacism' came out in 2005. The duo announced an indefinite hiatus in 2007, citing creative differences and personal issues.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
