Florence Welch is the lead vocalist and songwriter for Florence + the Machine. She was born in London in 1986. In 2007, she met Isabella Summers at a party, and they started making music together, eventually forming the band.
The group's debut album 'Lungs' came out in 2009 and reached number one in the UK. It included songs like 'Dog Days Are Over' and 'Rabbit Heart (Raise It Up).' They've put out several other albums since then, including 'Ceremonials' in 2011 and 'How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful' in 2015.
Welch has been open about dealing with mental health issues. Her song 'Veronica's Hymn' appears in the catalog.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
