Flunk is a German indie rock trio that started playing together in the late 1990s. The band consists of Thomas Finsterlin on vocals and guitar, Jens Wawrczeck on bass, and Andreas Arndt on drums. Their first album, 'For Sleepyheads Only,' came out in 2000 and included the track 'Helium,' which got some attention.
They followed that with 'For Sleepyheads Only II' in 2002 and 'Low' in 2004. The song 'Cigarette Burns' appears on 'Low' and has stayed in their setlists. After a break in the mid-2000s, they returned with 'Between a Smile and a Sigh' in 2009. Their music tends toward melodic guitar lines and straightforward rock arrangements.
