Flying was a band that formed in Los Angeles in the late 1960s. Their debut album 'Mr. Big' came out in 1966, and it included the song 'A Proud Bird' which became one of their most recognizable tracks.
As the 1970s went on, their sound shifted to incorporate more blues and folk elements. They put out albums like 'Then Play On' in 1969 and 'Mystery to Me' in 1973. Other songs from their catalog include 'Cold But Magnetic' and 'Escape From Myself'.
The band's lineup changed over time. Keith Relf was their original vocalist, and Rod Stewart later took over that role. Mick Fleetwood played drums and John McVie was on bass.
