Archive material and source history
Flyloud formed in 2012 around Edu Lobo, who wrote songs drawing from alternative rock and Brazilian popular music. They started as a trio with bassist Pedro Neves and drummer Ricardo Araújo, playing small clubs in Rio de Janeiro while trying to find their footing.
In 2015, their debut single "Isso Vai Mudar" connected with listeners across Brazil, giving the band its first real break. That led to their 2017 album Aurora, which helped establish them in Brazilian rock circles.
Their music sometimes touches on social themes, and in 2018 they were involved in a protest against police violence that drew some criticism. They kept writing and performing, with songs like "Ja Faz Tanto Tempo" appearing in their setlists.
